Since the year of 2007 there was forming an idea of creating an ecological zone for the defence of nature in the area where Klyazma river ajoining Oka river. This is a border of Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir region. This is really a strategic point and place of strength, where waters of two among just a few biggest rivers of Central Russia are meeting each other. This natural monument with it's unique landscapes, forests and lakes and their inhabitants is not so big at all, so it has to be defended from any forest cutting and development of construction.
Since then there were lots of requests, meetings etc regarding this matter. Finally, after many years of slow movements the project got the main solid gtround to announce officially the launch of the project Safari eco-park Ruslandia. Just at the same day of March, 31 2015 - there was bought an old tourist camp on 2.5 hectares (the only constructions in designated area) and was finally bought the land of 5 hectares connected to the base. So, the 31th of March can be consedered as a birthday of this great project! The owner of the project is a charity foundation 'Open charity fund' and we will be handling many of development works and commercial part of the project after it is open for the public. Hope, it will be in the nearest year or two maximum! We'll keep you up-dated!
